Todd Branch is well known to DiscLife.com readers as our resident Touring Editor and leader of the now-famous Winnicrew, a group of four touring professional disc golfers who criss-cross the country each year in search of disc golf adventures.

Day one of singles competition had just a little bit of rain.

After the first two rounds things are still pretty close. Al had a mediocre first round and finished -17 for the day. I had a mediocre second round and shot -20 all told. Dave shot a -7 in the first round and I haven't seen him since.

The women played the Monster course in the rain during the men's break: Sue shot +17 and that placed her near the middle of the women's field of 30+ players.

Climo sits at -21... Russell at -25....Schultz at -25 or so. 2000 Rookie of the year candidate Tim Schreder shot a -23 for the day. Tim Gill was -21.... Cam Todd is at -23.... The totals aren't in yet as I write, this is just what I have heard. Someone might be better than -25.

I have to get over to the Innova dinner in an hour or so. Things are going smoothly here in Michigan. What a tournament!

-Todd
