After the Veterans Park Open we stayed with Dave Draz for a few more days until the MaceMan B-tier at ZBoaz. We hadn't played there yet but heard good things about the course. It's still somewhat under construction, as this is a new 'disc golf only' park. The Winnicrew finished 1-2-3 for the first time ever. I won, Avery was second. I ran a ring of fire for MaceMan after the Sunday round was over. We had some good fun. We stayed one night at Mace's apartment then drove 1400 miles to Los Angeles over the next two days.

disc golf photo: at the Innova plant In LA we stayed with Reese Swinea for a couple days then he drove us out to Morley Field in San Diego for a two day B-tier. Morley is a sweet little course that just has too many people. They handle it well by moving the pins around a lot. The grass stayed green and I didn't notice any worn patches. Micah Dorius took it to us. He won by something like 12 strokes over Dave. Avery and I tied for 7th.

The following Monday the Winnicrew started working for Innova. Dave Dunnipace let us park the Winnie behind the factory and we worked for three days (Thursday-Friday the factory closed for Thanksgiving) on hot stamping and cataloging stamping dies.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Reese's house. He and his wife put on a great meal. Everything was great.... turkey, stuffing, potatoes, yams, gravy, creamed corn... the whole deal. We have been spending the last couple nights at Jerry Davis' house. Jerry works at the pro shop at La Mirada. He and his roommates have four TVs all hooked up to a satellite dish. It's great. A true bachelor pad.

disc golf photo: Todd Branch Tomorrow morning we will be holding our first tournament. It will be at La Mirada. We're mostly putting it on for the Ams in the area. For prizes we'll be giving out discs that we collected from tournaments all across the country. Should be pretty cool. We're hoping it won't rain.

Our plans for now are to work a few more weeks at the plant, play a tournament in Phoenix on Dec. 15th and fly home for the holidays on the 17th... then we'll be back on Jan 5th and work a bit more until the tournament season starts.

Oh... wait 'til you guys see the new SuperTour poster for 2002. I had nothing to do with it but someone from the Winnicrew will be featured prominently. Oh boy....

More soon.
