Dear Scott,
What's your favorite course in the Midwest?
Erick Busche
Devils Glen Park

Erick,
That's easy. It is Kaposia Park in South St. Paul, Minnesota, which will be one of the courses used for the 2001 Pro Worlds. I love the challenge of the par fours, the hills, the variety, as well as the people.
Other courses I enjoy in the Midwest are Rosedale Park in Kansas City, Hudson Mills in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Addison Oaks Park in Detroit, and Water Works Park in North Kansas City.
Dear Scott,
I'm new to the game. Please tell me what does O.B. mean? Thanks!

Lisa,
O.B. is short for out-of-bounds. This usually designates an area that is unsafe for the player, other non-players, or an area where it is hard to retrieve your discs, such as a pond or off a cliff. When a shot lands out of bounds, and the disc is not touching safe land anywhere, the player must play their shot from the last place it was over fair ground. Once the site is decided upon by the group, the player then has up to one meter from out-of-bounds to mark their lie. There is a one-stroke penalty assessed to the player's score.
Proper use of an O.B. balance is a great asset to any course, but especially one that is lacking other obstacles. Out of bounds can make an otherwise simple hole very interesting...
